In line with the company's desire to ensure that key roles are filled by best-in-class talents with the requisite skills and experience, the company seeks to hire a Chief Internal Auditor.

Detailed Job Description:

The Chief Internal Auditor will ensure that the Group’s Internal Audit and regulatory policies are being complied with and ensure the effective and efficiency of operations, safeguard of both physical and logical assets while complying with policies, applicable laws and regulations

  • First degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Economics or other numerate discipline

  • An MBA or MSc in a Finance-related discipline is desirable

  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body

  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in the financial management / accounting function with at least 10 years in a senior management role within the audit function

  • Proven experience with audit and investigation procedures

  • Advanced financial and accounting knowledge, including understanding of Finance best practices, international as well as Nigerian accounting and financial reporting standards

  • Experience in policy formulation and implementation

  • Good understanding of relevant financial/banking regulations

  • Strong business acumen and tact, and an ability to relate with highest levels of Management at financial institutions

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding leadership, supervisory and people management skills

  • Good sense of judgment

  • High level of integrity and maintenance of sound ethics

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

  • High level of initiative and good attention to detail

  • High level strategic thinking capabilities.
